Canon has introduced two new inkjet photo printers, the Pixma iP1800 and iP3300. The former, priced at just $50, can print a borderless 4 x 6 inch photo in 70 seconds. It uses two ink cartridges, one with black and the other with the usual CMY combo. The Pixma iP3300 has four separate ink tanks and can crank out that 4 x 6 in 47 seconds. It’s priced at $80.

The HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-One Printer, Fax, Scanner, and Copier is a multi-function unit that can help increase the productivity of your business. Designed for high-volume home use, this system features leading printing innovations for versatility and productivity.
Printerspot.com has posted a review of the HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-One.
“While not as good as the Canon Pixma MP600 we just reviewed, the HP Photosmart C6180 is still a solid — but slow — multifunction printer. You get a lot of printer for a little over $250, with great looking photo quality, wired and wireless networking, and full multifunction functionality. It’s certainly an All-in-One printer that we can recommend.
The Photosmart C6180 is an attractive, midsize All-in-One printer that almost looks like it was designed by Apple instead of HP. It has a large 2.4″ LCD display, a fairly easy-to-use menu system, and plenty of buttons to push. There are two paper trays, including one dedicated to 4 x 6 photo paper. The printer can automatically detect what type paper you’re using and even knows when the paper is upside down. The C6180 uses HP’s Vivera ink system and has six colors: the usual CMYK group, plus light cyan and light magenta. Each ink is in its own cartridge, and HP’s ink prices are fairly reasonable. The printer also features a flatbed scanner with an automatic document feeder, memory card slots, and support for Ethernet and Wi-Fi in addition to USB.
…
It’s far from perfect, but the HP Photosmart C6180 is certainly worth a look. I’d also strongly recommend checking out the Canon Pixma MP830, which (based on our experiences with the MP600) should have faster print speeds and better text/graphics quality — though it lacks Wi-Fi and Ethernet. “
