The Canon Pixma MP600 is a midrange all-in-one printer (no fax). It utilizes Canon’s new user interface, which aims to make printing, scanning, and copying easier than ever, and the new 2.5″ TFT display lets you preview images in high definition before printing. Printerspot has a good review up of the MP600 Inkjet Printer and commented-

“The Canon Pixma MP600 turned out to be a very impressive all-in-one printer. It offers high quality, fast photo printing, plus copying and scanning capabilities for under $200. It does all this with an easy-to-use interface that makes complex tasks (like two-sided printing) a breeze.

Being an all-in-one, it’s not surprising that the MP600 can scan and copy in addition to print. One unique feature lets you put several photos on the scanner and then make duplicate prints with very little effort. The printer supports USB 2.0 High Speed and infrared straight out of the box, and Bluetooth with an optional adapter.

Print quality was excellent — and there wasn’t much waiting involved, either. Photos looked great at both 4 x 6 and 8.5 x 11, with saturated colors and pleasing sharpness. In fact, we thought that the prints were even better than what we got from a famous-name online photo printing service. The MP600 can produce a high quality 4 x 6 inch print in 43 seconds, while 8.5 x 11’s take 83 seconds. Black text, whether printed from a PC or copied, shot out of the printer at about 10 pages per minute. More complex color documents came out of the printer at about 3 pages per minute.

If you don’t need fax capabilities then the Canon Pixma MP600 is absolutely worth a look. It does a lot — and it does it well — for very little money.”
